WoW！！！ Her Husband's Mistake by Daniel Hurst。 Narrated by Tamsin Kennard and Nathaniel Priestley was an excellent audiobook that was packed with great twists and turns throughout that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat。 Once I started to listen to this audiobook it was hard to turn off。 I was gripped from the beginning till the very end。 It was an outstanding audiobook/book and the narrators Tamsin Kennard and Nathaniel Priestley were superb， they made this book。 Daniel Hurst's books WoW！！！ Her Husband's Mistake by Daniel Hurst。 Narrated by Tamsin Kennard and Nathaniel Priestley was an excellent audiobook that was packed with great twists and turns throughout that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat。 Once I started to listen to this audiobook it was hard to turn off。 I was gripped from the beginning till the very end。 It was an outstanding audiobook/book and the narrators Tamsin Kennard and Nathaniel Priestley were superb， they made this book。 Daniel Hurst's books are a treat to read and will always have you gripped。 He has a way of bringing you into the story and all his characters are so true to life。 Another superb book。I highly recommend this book。 I loved it！Big thank you to netgalley， Bookouture and Bookouture Audio for this amazing ARC in exchange for my review！ 。。。more

This starts out very slow。 It's a story about Jack， Lorna and their kids， Maddy and Alex。 15 years ago when Jack and Lorna were recently married they moved from England to America。 They lived in New York for several years。 They had their daughter Maddy and then a son Alex。 Something happened， something bad， that made them decide to go back to England。 For quite a long time， we don't know what the something bad was。 We know Jack did it and then convinced Lorna to run back to England。 Now 15 years This starts out very slow。 It's a story about Jack， Lorna and their kids， Maddy and Alex。 15 years ago when Jack and Lorna were recently married they moved from England to America。 They lived in New York for several years。 They had their daughter Maddy and then a son Alex。 Something happened， something bad， that made them decide to go back to England。 For quite a long time， we don't know what the something bad was。 We know Jack did it and then convinced Lorna to run back to England。 Now 15 years later all their kids want for their birthday is to go back to New York for a vacation。 Pretty much right away when they get to New York， things start happening。 When I found out the bad thing Jack did， I wasn't that surprised。 I guessed it was something along those lines。 Jack is really kind of a jerk。 He never too responsibility for his actions 15 years ago and now someone wants to make him pay。 I really didn't like Jack or Lorna that much。 This takes a turn to the bizarre。 And it really was quite unbelievable what Lorna is able to do。 The ending was a surprise and I did like it。 。。。more

Both the Goodreads and Amazon synopses of this book are what drew my initial interest ， and I must say the more revealing Amazon synopsis really threw me for a loop 。 For I was definitively expecting Jack and Lorna’s children to be … well underage children， not adult children。 I did， however， enjoy the story being told from multiple family member’s viewpoints， including the siblings， which I hadn’t anticipated。 It put me in their mindset of being in a distressing situation already and then findi Both the Goodreads and Amazon synopses of this book are what drew my initial interest ， and I must say the more revealing Amazon synopsis really threw me for a loop 。 For I was definitively expecting Jack and Lorna’s children to be … well underage children， not adult children。 I did， however， enjoy the story being told from multiple family member’s viewpoints， including the siblings， which I hadn’t anticipated。 It put me in their mindset of being in a distressing situation already and then finding out their parents — who they thought they knew best — had kept dark secrets。 Then of course the parents’ POV was used to build suspense and kept me constantly questioning just what awful thing Jack and Lorna did in New York all those years ago that made them fear going back 。 Towards the book’s end however ， I had almost wished to see a bit more of the siblings’ viewpoint after they had learned the dire truth and were left to cope with the tragic aftermath of the story’s climax。 Unlike most of Hurst’s fiction， this story is set in the US rather than the UK， which provides a fresh deviation from his usual 。 This brings to mind “My Daughter’s Boyfriend，” an earlier work of Hurst’s that was set in LA。 Like the aforementioned book， the American setting in “My Husband’s Mistake” really helped solidify the characters’ feeling of dread when something went very wrong so far away from the comfort of home。 I found the juxtaposition of the parents’ rising fear for their children to the backdrop of what should have been exciting spectator events for a tourist especially palpable。Overall， “My Husband’s Mistake” was an alarming yet thought provoking tale about how one grave mistake can have a chain reaction of life altering consequences。 It makes readers not only consider the self-serving reasons some might protect a wrong-doing loved one， but also the lengths one might go to save （or avenge） their family。 And just just when you assume all has been said and done with these characters， the author shocks us at the end with a final ， foreboding twist 。 。。。more

and had me hook， line and sinker from beginning to end。 The descriptions were so in depth and vivid that the hair on my arms was standing on the ends and my heart was pounding throughout。 The synopsis， title and cover were perfect for the storyline。Another HUGE success by the extremely talented Daniel Hurst！！ Daniel is one of those extremely talented authors who has written so many books but yet each one I have read has been just as gripping，unique and explosive as the next！！ How he does it I have no idea but whatever you are doing Daniel， keep doing it！！！ I absolutely loved this unique page turning explosive page turner。 I was absolutely absorbed throughout this psychological thriller。 It is filled with tension， drama， family， suspense， lies， deceit， romance， secrets， love， and omg the twist！！！ I DID NOT see the twists coming at all and there were more than one！！！ Just when I think everything had been worked out and things were settling down BOOM there was another bombshell！！ A MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS Daniel！！ It is getting harder and harder to shock me but by God you did that over and over and over！！！ What an ending！！！ One of the most gripping unputdownable nerve wracking psychological thrillers I have EVER read！！！ You have one hell of a talent and I cannot wait to get hold of your previous and future books in this series。 I cannot remember the last time I was so hooked by a book but you managed that big time！！！ I loved that the book is told from different perspectives and each of their stories/chapters were perfectly weaved together to show us everything that is going on and how each of the characters are thinking and feeling throughout。 The storyline is filled with shocks， suspense， tension， deceit， and everything you could ask for in a psychological thriller！！。 There was so much going on and it was very fast paced and kept me on the edge of my seat throughout。 The surrounding atmosphere was absolutely perfect and the narrative ensures you are completely absorbed into the storyline with the characters coming to life all around you thanks to Daniel's evocative writing skills and Tamsin and Nathaniel's amazing narratives。 If you are ever in a reading slump then any of Daniels books are guaranteed to pull you out of it！！！！ I lost count how many times I had funny looks shouting out don't do it as I was walking on the school run listening to this amazing book！！ This is one of those books that I really can't say much about the storyline without giving anything away so I'll try to be very careful。 It is definitely a thought provoking book and makes one you realise how one moment and one action can make such a massive difference in life。 During the book there are so many butterfly affects which goes to show how one small action can have such a large ripple affect which could continue for years。 My heart was absolutely in my throat during one moment， especially as a mother I can't imagine having to make that decision and I hope to God I would never have to。 If I had to 。。。。。 Oops that's all I can say。 Have I left you in suspense？ Well you'll just have to pick up your copy and find out yourself！！！ This book is absolutely addictive and I read it in one sitting。 I absolutely loved the cliff hanging explosive twist at the end that leaves you wanting more！ It kept me on the edge of my seat， biting my nails with my heart absolutely pounding throughout especially at the end！ I really am looking forward to the next book by this extremely talented author。 A gripping， all consuming addictive page turner！！！Clear your schedule before you start as I read this in one sitting as I could not put it down！！ Practically every chapter ended on a cliff hanger so no way could I put it down！！ Absolutely hooked！！ I would absolutely love to see this turned into a movie！！！！This is one of the few books that I have listened to 100% on Audiobook。 If I listen to a book on audiobook I usually also read the physical book between but for the second time I listened to the whole book and I was impressed！ I must say a HUGE congratulations to the narrators Nathaniel Priestley and Tamsin Kennard who both did an amazing job bringing this story and the characters to life。 I have previously listened to 'Her First Child' by Sheryl Browne， 'The Suspect' by Kathryn Croft and 'My Daughters Boyfriend' also by Daniel Hurstthat were all also narrated by Tamsin Kennard and I would highly recommend listening to or reading them all as it they re other fantastic page turners from other great authors！！ I would listen to it in the car and while walking at any opportunity。 I'm not only looking forward to reading more books by Daniel but also to listening to more books narrated by both Tamsin and Nathaniel！The characters were all strong and realistic and thanks to Daniel's absolutely fantastic writing skills and Tamsin and Nathaniel's amazing narrative skills they all come to life when you are turning the pages。 My heart went out to Lorna but not as much as it went out to their children Alex and Maddy but again。。。。。I really can't say why or anything else in regards to the book itself as it's too easy to give anything away。  Both Tamsin and Nathaniel were perfect to portray the voices of each of the characters helping me like or dislike the characters even more！ I will stop here as I will give too much away if I say anymore and I really don't want to spoil it for future readers so I wont say anything else and let other readers make their own minds up about how they feel about the characters。。 Regardless of Daniel Hurst doesn’t disappoint。 I enjoyed how the story was written and how the intrigue developed。 I do， however， think that the ending and Epilogue dragged on a little too much。 I enjoyed listening audio version of Her Husband’s Secret。The narration， by Tamsin Kennard and Nathaniel Priestley is well done。 It’s well paced and very easy to follow。 Thank You to NetGalley and Bookouture Audio for the opportunity to listen to the audiobook version of this this ARC
